June 19, 2024The result was announced to a packed Crown Perth ballroom, full of Perth’s leading residential builders, designers and manufacturers gathered to celebrate the 2022 HIA COLORBOND® steel Perth Housing Awards and 2022 HIA WA Kitchen and Bathroom Awards, in a memorable evening of industry recognition, entertainment and glamour.
HIA WA Executive Director Michael McGowan said the judges follow a meticulous process considering a range of elements including quality of workmanship, design effectiveness, visual and market appeal, and innovation, and could not fault the quality of the Spadaccini Homes entry despite the build involving the highest degree of difficulty.
“Built to a generous brief that included the best of everything, the home delivers amazing coastal views, features the latest in home-automation, sustainability features, solar power and storage, and a material pallet that is both beautiful and enduring,” said Mr McGowan.
“The judges admired the stunning oceanfront home as refined from every angle and sitting well within neighbouring homes. The material selections define the home as modern contemporary with an expanse of double glazed windows, select use of aluminium cladding, and a hard wearing rendering system. The overall stunning presentation assures the home will be on show to passing traffic and local beach walkers every day.”
“The judges commented on the internal material selection throughout the home as oozing quality and style with the use of stone and marble, and high-end cabinetry described as breathtaking.”
“Designed as a truly forever home with consideration for aging in place, every detail has been taken into account, including a separate apartment for later live-in carer accommodation, an elegant glass lift to access the three levels of the home, and every element thoughtfully delivered for comfort and function as the owners age and retire.”
“Overall, this is a remarkable example of the quality and workmanship available in WA, and a great testament to Spadaccini Homes, especially as it has been completed throughout one of the most challenging periods the residential building industry has experienced,” said Mr McGowan.
Spadaccini Homes also won the John Pietersen Award for Custom Built Home of the Year for the North Beach project and took out the Townhouse Development of the Year Award for their Osborne Park project.
